  • Barbecue for members
    With the communal area around the allotment shed much improved and looking colourful we held our very first barbecue there in the late afternoon of 17th August. Fifty five members attended what turned out to be a very successful and sociable occasion.
  • Solar powered defibrillator
    We are grateful to Colwich Parish Council for providing us with a Solar powered defibrillator. The solar panel powers a small heater to keep the defibrillator safe when the temperature drops below 5 degrees C.
  • It’s your neighbourhood Britain in Bloom
    This year for the first time we entered the RHS ‘It’s your neighbourhood scheme’. The awards lunch was held on 14th September at Hereford and we attended. We were extremely pleased to report that Colwich Allotments were awarded level 5 ‘outstanding’. Additionally we also received one of the six discretionary trophies (within Heart of England) for Gardening Excellence. The committee and all our members are extremely proud of this achievement.
